Senior Elite Program
Squash Manitoba will select our top elite provincial players to represent Manitoba at the Canadian Interprovincial Team Championships. The team will consist of the top three men and top three women in the province. They will be held in Winnipeg for the Men’s Championships and to Moncton, NB for the Women’s Championships on January 11-13, 2008. These six players will be selected based on ranking and recorded results. Play-offs will be held if necessary.
Masters Teams
The 2008 Western Canadian Masters Team Championships will take place January 18-20, 2008 in Winnipeg, MB. Squash Manitoba will fund 1 team consisting of 4 men (40+, 45+, 50+, 55+) and 3 women (35+, 40+, 45+) to this event.
School Squash
Squash Manitoba will again be offering School Programs throughout the year to elementary, junior high and high schools. The elementary schools can book with Squash Manitoba for equipment use for two week blocks and make arrangements through the clubs to have court visits.
The high schools can contact the Squash Manitoba office and make specific program requests which we will do our best to fulfill.
These programs have been developing rapidly over the past few years and we encourage schools to participate. Contact the Squash Manitoba Office at 925-5659 if you are interested.
Tournament Hosting Grants
Squash Manitoba will continue to offer Tournament Hosting Grants to clubs hosting major Squash Manitoba sanctioned tournaments. The following are events that qualify for a hosting grant:
- Men’s/Women’s Manitoba Open
- Manitoba Closed
- Other events as deemed fit by the Squash Manitoba Executive Committee.

Mini Rule Clinics
There has been a Mini Rule Clinic set for this season. This clinic is for those who want to learn the BASIC rules of the game of Squash. The clinic is two hours in length.
Course Conductor: Nigel Wooler (1999 Pan Am Games Official) Cost: $5.00 (includes rulebook)

Officiating Certification Clinic
Become a D4 Official!
Not only will be become a better official but you may even improve on your squash game, while receiving 3 VPI credits upon certification.
When: Saturday, January 19, 2008 Time: 9 am - 5 pm Location: TBA
Course Conductor: Nigel Wooler (1999 Pan Am Games Official) Cost: $20.00 (includes course materials and rulebook)
